On-event informations - RAC MSA Rally of Scotland

Time and date SS information
13:17, 22.11.2009 13 Kris Meeke (1) was excluded.
18:08, 21.11.2009 13 Alister McRae (10): There is clearly great potential and we hope the Proton factory in Malaysia can see that it makes sense to go for a full IRC commitment next year.
18:07, 21.11.2009 13 Guy Wilks (2): We were under strict instructions to get the car home and I understood that and stood by it. We didn’t want to take any risks and we went for the finish. Next year is going to be great and I can’t wait for 2010 to begin.
18:07, 21.11.2009 13 Kris Meeke (1): Brilliant! It’s a pity that last stage was cancelled but it’s been fantastic for Peugeot and Kronos and full marks to Guy for a superb drive himself. It’s a dream come true this year for me and I hope I have shown that I am one of the best out there – it has been the best experience of my life. That car never missed a beat all year and I thank the entire team for that. For me personally, though, this victory on the first Rally of Scotland is dedicated to the guy who helped me get started in my career: Colin McRae.
15:32, 21.11.2009 13 Stage stopped due to crash of no. 5, road is blocked. Other crews will obtain notional times.
15:28, 21.11.2009 13 David Bogie (5) rolled, crew OK.
16:28, 21.11.2009 12 Richard Nicoll (19): We didn’t spin this time so a better run. Driving for the finish now. I don’t want to do anything silly!
16:27, 21.11.2009 12 Craig Breen (21): Lots of fun in there but a lot of standing water which is fun in a front wheel drive car.
16:27, 21.11.2009 12 Donnie MacDonald (18): The weather’s no bother! I don’t care if it snows now – I have a new turbo and I have power so I’m happy again!
16:27, 21.11.2009 12 Tom Cave (25): No problems in there and am looking forward to the finish. Everything is fine in the car.
16:27, 21.11.2009 12 Sébastien Rousseaux (16): We are getting lots of steam in the car and the windscreen is all misted up. It is making life very difficult.
16:26, 21.11.2009 12 Kris Meeke (1): We took it very cautiously in there and maybe lost seven or eight seconds. I don’t want to make mistakes and for the final stage it’s middle of the road, taking it steady for a controlled win.
16:26, 21.11.2009 12 Guy Wilks (2): We’re happy doing what we’re doing but we’re not pushing for a win. If Kris makes a mistake then fair enough, but we have a job to do and we’re not going to change our gameplan now. It would be stupid to push and throw it all away with an error.
16:26, 21.11.2009 12 Alister McRae (10): It was all going well and then it starts raining hard, with water running down the ruts and the car steaming up inside. Still, we’re pushing to the finish.
16:26, 21.11.2009 12 Jonathan Greer (7): Rain is making this really exciting now!
16:26, 21.11.2009 12 David Bogie (5): Still in there! And this rain is making it a real fight just to stay on. Jonathan (Greer) is pushing to the max.
16:25, 21.11.2009 12 Jock Armstrong (14): Very very tricky in there and it’s going to catch a lot of cars out. We are still there and the tyres are holding out, so happy days.
16:25, 21.11.2009 12 Eamonn Boland (11): What a drive, very enjoyable. I still prefer the hard stuff though!
16:25, 21.11.2009 12 Kaspar Koitla (12): Conditions are awful now, and we have to work hard to keep the car on the road.
16:12, 21.11.2009 11 Kris Meeke (1): We had a 180 degree spin in there and I’m not happy with that. We lost six or seven seconds in there trying to reverse. We didn’t expect the rain like this but then again it is Scotland!
16:12, 21.11.2009 11 Guy Wilks (2): We’re quite happy with what we’ve done so far. The conditions are incredible, windscreen wipers flat out the whole way through and very wet and slippy. We’re driving our own rally now and are just looking to finish and put more miles on the Fabia.
16:11, 21.11.2009 11 Alister McRae (10): It’s still extremely difficult in there. It would have been nice to cruise to the finish but if you slow down you make mistakes, so we’re pushing on.
16:11, 21.11.2009 11 Jonathan Greer (7): It looks like we’ve done enough to beat David Bogie in there but there’s still a long way to go so I’m not relaxing just yet.
16:11, 21.11.2009 11 David Bogie (5): We gambled with the tyres and went with a soft compound taking no cuts through the corners. Happy enough with that stage, but any more rain will take away any advantage we might have had.
16:11, 21.11.2009 11 Jock Armstrong (14): I slowed down and was driving like my mother but I had no problems.
16:11, 21.11.2009 11 Eamonn Boland (11): It was no slippier in there than it was first time around. All is good.
16:10, 21.11.2009 11 Kaspar Koitla (12): I tried to take it better in there but an intercom problem developed which made it hard to concentrate.
15:02, 21.11.2009 11 Peter Taylor (33) retired before SS 11 due to mechanical problem.
14:55, 21.11.2009 11 Kris Meeke (1) spun.
12:09, 21.11.2009 10 Stuart McQueen (32): We sorted our windscreen issue from yesterday so are having a proper go now.
12:08, 21.11.2009 10 János Puskádi (27): We drove that last stage with only 3 wheelnuts on the front right wheel. Not ideal...
12:08, 21.11.2009 10 Tony Jardine (29): Last night we bent the steering and the front strut but today is better. This is a massive event and such great fun to drive. A really epic stage.
12:08, 21.11.2009 10 Peter Taylor (33): Excellent. Really got to grips with it there and it all came together well.
12:08, 21.11.2009 10 Donnie MacDonald (18): That was rubbish! We blew the turbo in the first stage and have driven here with no power. Hope to change at service.
12:07, 21.11.2009 10 Euan Thorburn (17): All OK in the first half but then we lost power and it wouldn’t take any revs.
12:07, 21.11.2009 10 William Bonniwell (15): The car is down on boost, and it’s my first time here in the Trossachs which is a real shame as I was hoping to give it the beans.
12:07, 21.11.2009 10 Richard Nicoll (19): These are tremendous stages and as far as I am concerned the best anywhere. Really tremendous.
12:07, 21.11.2009 10 Craig Breen (21): That one certainly wasn’t fun. We had problems 10kms in and the car was all over the place. It was very hard to commit.
12:07, 21.11.2009 10 Tom Cave (25): I was 18 last Monday and had a party on the M6 on the way up here! The rally is going well for us, and we’re hoping for a successful end to the day.
12:06, 21.11.2009 10 Kris Meeke (1): I don’t know what Guy’s plan is, but as far as I’m concerned it’s going fantastic. It’s interesting to know how before this event Guy was determined to win here, but now on the event when we are quicker he is just wanting to finish. It’s nice to know we have to power to change his mind!
12:06, 21.11.2009 10 Guy Wilks (2): It’s not a case of us pushing for a win; more like if it comes it comes. If you get punctures early on in a stage like this then it wrecks your chances. So we’re pacing ourselves and waiting to see what happens this afternoon.
12:06, 21.11.2009 10 Alister McRae (10): It went well but we still have the problem with the gearshift and we can’t sort that until Service. It was a cracking stage though and we’re just pushing the car to the finish. Guy and Kris are having a fair battle and if they make a mistake we want to be close enough to take that opportunity.
12:06, 21.11.2009 10 Jonathan Greer (7): We had a few moments but nothing too bad in there. I hope I can stay ahead of David (Bogie).
12:05, 21.11.2009 10 David Bogie (5): Still doable, but we went into the first stage today with very soft tyres. Probably great to watch, but not good to drive with the back feeling very skittish.
12:05, 21.11.2009 10 Jock Armstrong (14): Settled down now and kept calm, and I think we’re OK. Kirsty hasn’t even been car sick today!
12:05, 21.11.2009 10 Eamonn Boland (11): I am enjoying it and this series is much cheaper to be in than the WRC, with the same amount of fun. I am really enjoying this gravel rally even though my proper home is tarmac.
12:05, 21.11.2009 10 Kaspar Koitla (12): It was a good stage, with good grip and very fast and smooth.
10:40, 21.11.2009 10 Richard Nicoll (19) stopped in stage, but continue.
10:35, 21.11.2009 10 Martin Kangur (26) crashed.
10:33, 21.11.2009 10 Ferenc Lévai (30) retired before SS 10 due to power steering problems.
11:40, 21.11.2009 9 Euan Thorburn (17): Quite slippy at the start but we got a good feeling in the car and pushed as well as we could.
11:39, 21.11.2009 9 Richard Nicoll (19): I enjoyed that, aye. The car’s going great, handling well and braking perfectly. I am erring on the cautious side but having a great time.
11:39, 21.11.2009 9 Craig Breen (21): There were a few tricky points in there. Kris (Hall) has put himself off in the stage which is a shame as I was pacing myself against him. For my sake I hope he gets back on!
11:39, 21.11.2009 9 Donnie MacDonald (18): We are just trying to get a finish, we have no power and no boost, with no traction to pull us out of the corners.
11:39, 21.11.2009 9 Tom Cave (25): Quite tricky in there and a couple of notes which weren’t right so we took it easy.
11:38, 21.11.2009 9 Sébastien Rousseaux (16): I am looking for a good run and a good feeling today. It felt good in there.
11:38, 21.11.2009 9 Kris Meeke (1): It felt reasonable. No mistakes in there and steady in the middle of the road. We’ve pretty much gained back what we lost in the last stage.
11:38, 21.11.2009 9 Guy Wilks (2): This stage was a lot more slippy than the last one. We’re not getting too over-excited and just want to get through the next stage with no problems. We are concentrating on the car and that’s the most important thing.
11:38, 21.11.2009 9 Alister McRae (10): Now we have the gear cut problems we find it hard to push, so maybe now is the time to consolidate and not push – we’re in no mans lands now which is not nice but we’ll try our hardest after Service.
11:38, 21.11.2009 9 Jonathan Greer (7): Very muddy I thought and hard to know where the grip levels were which knocked our confidence a little bit. We dropped the wheel into a ditch on a little moment there but were cautious and managed to carry on.
11:37, 21.11.2009 9 David Bogie (5): The first stage this morning was hard – we had two small offs and the Autolec cost us time. But we’re still here so we’re happy enough. This stage was safe enough with not too many places to catch you out, but the traction was good so we’re happy enough.
11:37, 21.11.2009 9 Jock Armstrong (14): No mistakes but I just need to build my confidence up again. There are bumps and crests in there but I haven’t scared myself.
11:37, 21.11.2009 9 Eamonn Boland (11): Not too bad, an OK run. First stage this morning was slippy but we are pushing - pushing to go home!
11:37, 21.11.2009 9 Martin Kangur (26): I feel OK but I am driving a bit slowly in there. It is not difficult, it’s just that Kaspar is very fast this morning.
11:36, 21.11.2009 9 Kaspar Koitla (12): Feeling is good; those two stages had very good grip and we are fighting hard.
11:16, 21.11.2009 9 Kris Hall (23) stopped in stage.
11:36, 21.11.2009 8 Kris Meeke (1): Wilks beat us in there after we went a bit wide in a bank, but there’s still along way to go. We lost three seconds to Guy but we still have the cushion.
11:36, 21.11.2009 8 Guy Wilks (2): It’s going to be a long, tricky day today. We are here to do a job for Skoda UK and we’re trying our damnest to do it well. Everyone wants to know if we can go for the win but there’s still a long way to go.
11:36, 21.11.2009 8 Alister McRae (10): We are going to push as hard as we can. We lost the gear light indicator in that stage but it’s no problem, it’s all good. We’ll do the best we can.
11:35, 21.11.2009 8 Jonathan Greer (7): It was OK in there with better grip levels, so all I need to do is to find the confidence to push harder. I was ten seconds quicker than David Bogie in there so I’m ahead overall which is a good start to the day.
11:35, 21.11.2009 8 David Bogie (5): The plan is to push and to show some proper pace today. I got away with a lot yesterday and today it’s all about making some real progress even though we still have this intermittent electrical problem which sometimes cripples the car. There’s a loose connection in the main hub of the electrical system.
11:35, 21.11.2009 8 Jock Armstrong (14): We were feeling fantastic but then 4km in we went into a ditch and had to do a 360 turn to get back on track. But we’re OK though so we shall push on!
11:34, 21.11.2009 8 Eamonn Boland (11): We can push hard today, although the narrow bits are slippy. But there’s no frost out there - it’s a perfect start to the day.
11:34, 21.11.2009 8 Martin Kangur (26): The conditions are good, a better day today and not so slippy anymore. We lost a few seconds to Kaspar in there but I have to be much quicker.
11:34, 21.11.2009 8 Kaspar Koitla (12): No problems, very good grip and enjoying the fight with my fellow Estonian (Kanguar).
10:57, 21.11.2009 8 Barry Greer (24) didnt start into day 2.
10:56, 21.11.2009 8 Daniel Sigurdarson (20) didnt start into day 2.
01:40, 21.11.2009 8 Starting order to Day 2
17:52, 20.11.2009 8 Nigel Feeney (35) didnt start into day 2.
18:01, 20.11.2009 7 Kris Hall (23): Its been a bit of carnage in there but we got through. Very slippy in there and looking forward to tomorrow.
18:01, 20.11.2009 7 Richard Nicoll (19): The car was going well on that last stage but coming through here in the dark was not fun, I can tell you.
18:00, 20.11.2009 7 Donnie MacDonald (18): That was a tricky run in there but I enjoyed it nonetheless!
18:00, 20.11.2009 7 Euan Thorburn (17): We had a good clean run in there and hope to have another good run tomorrow.
18:00, 20.11.2009 7 Sébastien Rousseaux (16): I am very happy to finish this day. Very hard with the light in there but this is a very, very good rally.
18:00, 20.11.2009 7 William Bonniwell (15): Not happy at all. I’m just getting punctures all the time and I don’t know what’s happening.
17:59, 20.11.2009 7 Kaspar Koitla (12): The drive was very good and I enjoyed that. I am hoping to smile more tomorrow.
17:58, 20.11.2009 7 Kris Meeke (1): I’m feeling a lot better now. We had a good run in there and tomorrow it’s a long day. That monster of a stage at the end is going to be a real challenge, but we’ve got a good cushion now.
17:58, 20.11.2009 7 Guy Wilks (2): No dramas as such, just a small problem with one of the lights before the stage start. There was a car off a little bit further back in there (Dave Weston jun.) but it didn’t slow us down too much.
17:58, 20.11.2009 7 David Bogie (5): The plan today was to get to the end and push on tomorrow. I went past Dave Weston in there and I doubt he’ll get back on.
17:57, 20.11.2009 7 Jonathan Greer (7): It’s been a good day. It started a bit slow but we picked up the speed towards the end. Happy to get to the end of the day, it’s been unpredictable!
17:57, 20.11.2009 7 Jock Armstrong (14): I’m never happy unless I’m winning. We had a streaker in there which put me off!
17:57, 20.11.2009 7 Alister McRae (10): You’ve got so much slime on the top of this road surface that it makes it very tricky. But we are hoping for a better road position tomorrow.
17:49, 20.11.2009 7 Barry Greer (24) crashed.
17:49, 20.11.2009 7 Daniel Sigurdarson (20) crashed.
17:41, 20.11.2009 7 Dave Weston jun. (8) crashed again.
17:28, 20.11.2009 7 Dave Weston jun. (8) was out of road.
17:10, 20.11.2009 7 Alistair Fisher (9) retired before SS 7 due to mechanical failure.
01:11, 19.11.2009 7 Stage was shortened in the middle passage due to road conditions.
15:39, 20.11.2009 6 Tony Jardine (29): Back to normal now, and we’re smiling again. Halfshaft replaced and all is good... for now!
15:39, 20.11.2009 6 Stuart McQueen (32): Heated screen went a mile from the start so I had to take it very carefully through there.
15:38, 20.11.2009 6 János Puskádi (27): Very difficult for a 2WD car, and too wet to go quick.
15:38, 20.11.2009 6 Martin Kangur (26): It’s slippy like a fish in there, and good views!
15:38, 20.11.2009 6 Tom Cave (25): Got stuck behind a car for 5kms and got covered in mud. Not happy at all.
15:38, 20.11.2009 6 Euan Thorburn (17): Terrible handling from the start, not happy but glad to get to the finish of this one. What a test!
15:37, 20.11.2009 6 Daniel Sigurdarson (20): This is harder than snow. Unbelievable but great fun!
15:37, 20.11.2009 6 Richard Nicoll (19): Lost transmission pressure so it’s not very clever at the moment. Hopefully we can get it fixed at Service.
15:37, 20.11.2009 6 Donnie MacDonald (18): It’s the same for everybody I know, but it really was pretty dire in there for us. Still, we got out with no problems.
15:37, 20.11.2009 6 Sébastien Rousseaux (16): Foggy for me inside the windscreen, a problem. I lost some time in that stage.
15:36, 20.11.2009 6 William Bonniwell (15): Bit slippery and slidey. Already had one puncture, and don’t want another one!
15:36, 20.11.2009 6 Kaspar Koitla (12): Very difficult in there with two wheel drive.
15:36, 20.11.2009 6 Eamonn Boland (11): Very slippy but no problems...
15:35, 20.11.2009 6 Kris Meeke (1): We are still up on Guy and that’s the game plan. It’s all about picking the right stage to go quickest. This has never been my favourite stage anyway, so I backed off a bit but knew I still had time in hand.
15:35, 20.11.2009 6 Guy Wilks (2): You have to fight so hard to keep the car on the road. We’re doing a good job and trying to get to the finish today and see what tomorrow brings.
15:35, 20.11.2009 6 Jonathan Greer (7): Lock to lock all the way through. This is a nice flowing stage but not in these conditions.
15:33, 20.11.2009 6 Dave Weston jun. (8): Well slippy at the start!
15:33, 20.11.2009 6 Alastair Fisher (9): Quite a difficult day today, with brake problems in probably the scariest stage of the day!
15:33, 20.11.2009 6 David Bogie (5): Getting the right line is so important in a stage like this. I’m happy enough and look forward to a push tomorrow.
15:33, 20.11.2009 6 Jock Armstrong (14): Just trying to keep up a good flow in the car, but it’s hard with the changing grip levels.
15:32, 20.11.2009 6 Alister McRae (10): That was interesting. Some pretty steep drops in there which could catch you out. The mud on the road makes it dangerous...
15:19, 20.11.2009 6 Keith Cronin (3) crashed.
15:16, 20.11.2009 6 Nigel Feeney (35) stopped in stage, but continue. Retired after SS 6 due to gearbox failure.
14:48, 20.11.2009 6 Alistair Fisher (9) had problems with brakes.
14:37, 20.11.2009 5 Nigel Feeney (35): We want to get more comfortable with the car and then go for a push tomorrow. We are starting to gently pick the pace up.
14:37, 20.11.2009 5 Stuart McQueen (32): We lost our wipers in there so it was terrible! Hopefully we can fix it on the road section!
14:37, 20.11.2009 5 János Puskádi (27): Front left puncture in there. It’s all happening in there!
14:37, 20.11.2009 5 Martin Kangur (26): All good in there with no problems but it’s very fast in there. We’re not sure of the time though, but the car felt OK.
14:37, 20.11.2009 5 Tom Cave (25): We backed off a bit as there were a lot of people having problems in there so we’ll see how it goes.
14:36, 20.11.2009 5 Barry Greer (24): Getting interesting in there now. Just trying to do our best and get a rhythm going.
14:36, 20.11.2009 5 Kris Hall (23): We’ve got a puncture on the front right after hitting a stone really hard in there.
14:36, 20.11.2009 5 Daniel Sigurdarson (20): It was awesome in there! Great stage and the rally is really starting to show its teeth now.
14:35, 20.11.2009 5 Richard Nicoll (19): I was passed by Siguroarson in there because we totally lost our brakes and has to take it really easy.
14:35, 20.11.2009 5 Donnie MacDonald (18): We were slowed up by Bonniwell in front who had a puncture. Stuck behind him for 5miles. Not happy...
14:35, 20.11.2009 5 Sébastien Rousseaux (16): We had some problem with the notes because we did the recce with a local right hand drive car and now I am in my own French car with the left hand drive it is a good challenge!
14:34, 20.11.2009 5 William Bonniwell (15): That was a bit of a nightmare. We picked up a puncture which has totally set us back but we tried to press on to the end without changing it.
14:34, 20.11.2009 5 Kaspar Koitla (12): It was full of big stones in there but I think I missed them.
14:33, 20.11.2009 5 Eamonn Boland (11): We have a driveshaft broken at the back now so it’s making life very difficult with only three wheel drive.
14:24, 20.11.2009 5 Kris Meeke (1): There were some big rocks for sure but luckily we managed to drive over them. That was a great stage though and I really enjoyed it in there and we’re fastest so I’m really pleased.
14:24, 20.11.2009 5 Guy Wilks (2): There were some very big rocks in the road and in some places it was very difficult because had to drive around them. Plus the ruts were starting to fill up with water. It was so hard to keep up the rhythm in there.
14:24, 20.11.2009 5 David Bogie (5): The car is looking very Christmassy! Halfway through we hit a branch and it lodged in the bumper and took out our wipers. So we’ve lost one of our lights too. Drummond Hill should be interesting...
14:24, 20.11.2009 5 Alastair Fisher (9): We got a puncture in there and hit a log pile in the previous stage. This rally is going from bad to worse for us...
14:23, 20.11.2009 5 Jonathan Greer (7): The screen is steaming up and it’s hard to judge the inside of the corners but we’re giving it our best shot.
14:23, 20.11.2009 5 Dave Weston jun. (8): Hit the front left wheel and pushed the tracking out a bit. We’re happy with the time though.
14:23, 20.11.2009 5 Jock Armstrong (14): Alister keeps throwing these bigs rocks out at me so I’m trying to avoid them. He’s having the best of the road today, that’s for sure.
14:23, 20.11.2009 5 Alister McRae (10): It’s very slippy in there and starting to get dark in the trees. Plus the screen is starting to mist up now...
14:15, 20.11.2009 5 Keith Cronin (3) spun.
14:15, 20.11.2009 5 Ferenc Lévai (30) lost wheel.
14:15, 20.11.2009 5 Craig Breen (21) crashed.
13:53, 20.11.2009 5 William Bonniwell (15) had puncture.
13:45, 20.11.2009 5 Eamonn Boland (11) has broken driveshaft.
13:42, 20.11.2009 5 Adam Gould (4) retired before SS 5 due to problems with water pump.
11:58, 20.11.2009 4 Daniel Sigurdarson (20): Absolutely lovely. So tricky and technical but I absolutely love it. These are the best stages in the UK.
11:58, 20.11.2009 4 Richard Nicoll (19): Very slippy all over and you never know how much grip you’ve got. It’s perfect for growing tatties in there!
11:57, 20.11.2009 4 Donnie MacDonald (18): We’re keeping it nice and tidy, but the car is always a lot better then me!
11:57, 20.11.2009 4 Euan Thorburn (17): We had a better run in there and we pushed a bit harder, but it’s still early days. The stages are a bit covered by the trees so I don’t think the weather will affect them that much to be honest. It can’t get any worse in my opinion.
11:56, 20.11.2009 4 Sébastien Rousseaux (16): The stages are really magic and I try to get a good rhythm. I am really enjoying myself.
11:56, 20.11.2009 4 William Bonniwell (15): Spiffing old chap, brilliant! Really enjoyed that but we could do with the tyre squad in there.
11:56, 20.11.2009 4 Kaspar Koitla (12): Really enjoying the event! Great stage.
11:56, 20.11.2009 4 Eamonn Boland (11): Very slippy up past the logs but we didn’t hit them!
11:56, 20.11.2009 4 Kris Meeke (1): A clean run through there but you have to be careful, and after our handling issue this morning we took it a bit more slowly just to get to service and have it looked at properly.
11:55, 20.11.2009 4 Guy Wilks (2): It’s OK in there, but there are lot of loose rocks on racing line. We’re trying to get better all the time and it’s improving with every km. And we were quicker than Kris (Meeke) in there, so it’s a perfect stage!
11:55, 20.11.2009 4 Adam Gould (4): We spun on a tight 90degree left and we were there ages trying to do a three point turn. What a nightmare! I’m not sure if we have got some damage after that as the car doesn’t feel quite right now. Gutted.
11:55, 20.11.2009 4 Alastair Fisher (9): We’ve got front damage on the navigator’s side after we hit a log pile on a hairpin right. It’s affected the handling.
11:55, 20.11.2009 4 David Bogie (5): Very slippy and we struggle for traction. We need to put a lot more cuts in the tyres next time.
11:54, 20.11.2009 4 Dave Weston jun. (8): Hard work but good fun!
11:54, 20.11.2009 4 Jonathan Greer (7): Good enough stage time, but a bit slippy at the end with us nearly having a half spin. It’s hard to judge the grip but we’re quite happy so far...
11:54, 20.11.2009 4 Jock Armstrong (14): The sun is shining and I’m not going to put my suntan lotion on just yet. The last part of this stage was really slippy and we hit a rock with the left front wheel but thankfully no damage done. I need to go to the local shop and buy myself some confidence for later.
11:54, 20.11.2009 4 Alister McRae (10): We had a good start but the climb up the hill is quite soft going and you need a wee bit more power but I’m pushing as hard as I can to get the feeling for the car.
11:53, 20.11.2009 4 Keith Cronin (3) had puncture.
11:53, 20.11.2009 4 Adam Gould (4) spun.
11:53, 20.11.2009 4 Alastair Fisher (9) hit a pile.
11:47, 20.11.2009 4 Tim Stebani (22) retired before SS 4 due to engine failure.
10:52, 20.11.2009 3 Martin Kangur (26): That was good fun in there, but very slippery.
10:52, 20.11.2009 3 Tom Cave (25): Very enjoyable, a nice flow to those stages and I really enjoyed it. Barry Greer (24) is on his side about 4kms back in there but they’re OK.
10:51, 20.11.2009 3 Craig Breer (21): A bit better in there but there are a few rocks and stones which can catch you unawares.
10:51, 20.11.2009 3 Daniel Sigurdarson (20): This is a mixture of Monte Carlo, Sweden, Iceland... amazing. If you can get through here, you’re a good driver!
10:51, 20.11.2009 3 Richard Nicoll (19): We were taking corners maybe a bit tight which explains the mud on the car, but there are some holes on the stage now.
10:51, 20.11.2009 3 Donnie MacDonald (18): Thousands of spectators in there – the most I’ve ever seen in Scotland on a rally. Fantastic feeling.
10:50, 20.11.2009 3 Tim Stebani (22): Definitely enjoyed that. We have to gain experience with the car and develop it and we were cautious to start with.
10:50, 20.11.2009 3 Euan Thorburn (17): Pretty good in there, a nice clean run.
10:50, 20.11.2009 3 Sébastien Rousseaux (16): Very nice, very smooth stage but slippy! We enjoyed that.
10:50, 20.11.2009 3 William Bonniwell (15): A good wee run, nice and sensible. I had a picnic basket in the back and stopped for a cup of tea...
10:49, 20.11.2009 3 Kaspar Koitla (12): We’re the first two-wheel drive car through here and right now I wish I had 4WD!
10:49, 20.11.2009 3 Eamonn Boland (11): Very slippy the last couple of miles in there!
10:49, 20.11.2009 3 Guy Wilks (2): We were careful down the end and maybe we could have taken a little more of a cut, but it’s only the first stage of the day.
10:48, 20.11.2009 3 Adam Gould (4): We’re slower than Alister by half a minute but it’s hard to know where the grip is. We’re taking it easy at the moment and I’m still getting used to the car but want to go quicker.
10:48, 20.11.2009 3 David Bogie (5): Very difficult. We went over a bump and the car cut out. Very long and difficult stage.
10:48, 20.11.2009 3 Jonathan Greer (7): Hard to judge braking points in there...
10:47, 20.11.2009 3 Alastair Fisher (9): A little spin towards the end but nothing serious. Quite happy with the car.
10:47, 20.11.2009 3 Jock Armstrong (14): No rain today so that’s better! It’s a challenge out there to judge the grip levels in the corners. If we get through Drummond Hill I’ll be happy.
10:47, 20.11.2009 3 Dave Weston jun. (8): Really slippy at the end and a low sun could catch you out but for us it was no problem. I enjoyed that.
10:47, 20.11.2009 3 Alister McRae (10): The stage is a little slippy at the end, but no problem. We went as quickly as we felt comfortable in there. Co-driver still a bit cold!
10:14, 20.11.2009 3 Adam Gould (4) went on hazard lights.
10:11, 20.11.2009 3 Alastrair Fisher (9) spun.
10:10, 20.11.2009 3 Keith Cronin (3) spun after puncture, first gear hooked.
22:00, 19.11.2009 3 Starting order to Day 1 - section two
01:11, 19.11.2009 3 Stage was shortened in the middle passage due to road conditions.
01:52, 20.11.2009 2 Tom Cave (25): More grip than I expected in there the second time around.
01:52, 20.11.2009 2 János Puskádi (27): A flash from a photographer gave me a little surprise.
01:51, 20.11.2009 2 Craig Breen (21): Overshot it in there but it is so slippy. Never mind, the real rally starts tomorrow.
01:51, 20.11.2009 2 Daniel Sigurdarson (20): Just struggling to get the car in the right line at the moment. We’re still struggling with the set up.
01:51, 20.11.2009 2 Richard Nicoll (19): There’s enough mud in there to make it a wee bit scary...
01:51, 20.11.2009 2 Donnie MacDonald (18): We had a wee spin in there but it was good for the spectators. No worries!
01:50, 20.11.2009 2 Alastair Fisher (9): The car feels fine and we are hoping for a good weekend.
01:48, 20.11.2009 2 Euan Thorburn (17): Rain, mud, wind – it must be Scotland!
01:48, 20.11.2009 2 Sébastien Rousseaux (16): The stage was very slippery in there and we try hard. All is OK for us.
01:48, 20.11.2009 2 William Bonniwell (15): That was fun! Very wet and slippery as we expected. We had a wee overshoot but no dramas.
01:48, 20.11.2009 2 Kaspar Koitla (12): You need 4WD in there to go fast! But it’s good, and we go OK.
01:47, 20.11.2009 2 Kris Meeke (1): Such a good feeling here, it’s a great atmosphere and everything is going as it should. We were quickest here and that’s the way we like it. It’s fantastic to be here. First blood to the Irish and to Peugeot UK!
01:47, 20.11.2009 2 Guy Wilks (2): What a great atmosphere! The car feels great even in this slippy stage. Really looking forward to cracking on tomorrow. The second run through here was better. A good clean run which is just what we wanted.
01:47, 20.11.2009 2 Keith Cronin (3): No real dramas, feels great to be here though and the real rally starts tomorrow!
01:47, 20.11.2009 2 Adam Gould (4): Crazy! It’s wild out there and we’re just getting used to how slippy it is. It’s a massive weekend and I’m loving it.
01:46, 20.11.2009 2 David Bogie (5): A tricky little stage that, but I’ve been looking forward to this for such a long time now. Really good fun and I’m really excited to be on this rally.
01:46, 20.11.2009 2 Jonathan Greer (7): I’m not sure if it’s mist or smoke in the dip but it slowed me down. We can’t go off on the first stage! Great atmosphere out there though.
01:46, 20.11.2009 2 Dave Weston (8): It is such a difficult evening because of the weather but we took it steady through there - the car feels good.
01:45, 20.11.2009 2 Jock Armstrong (14): It was fantastic out there but I had to switch the light pods off because the glare back from the firework and candle smoke made it harder to drive!
01:44, 20.11.2009 2 Alister McRae (10): The car feels great and the atmosphere is fantastic, even though the smoke from the fireworks hampered the visibility somewhat! It’s tricky out there but we’re quite happy with the car.
20:59, 19.11.2009 1 Matthew Wilson - Scott Martin will run as zero car with Ford Fiesta S2000.
20:57, 19.11.2009 1 Starting order to Day 1 - section one
